Rejoice! A Savior Is Born
by PJ Salas

"Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice!" Philippians4:4.

Reason To Rejoice

We have reason to rejoice always, for a Savior was born to free us from sin (Matthew1:21), to redeem us, providing for us a future and a hope in Him.

During holiday merriment and celebrating there is something far greater to rejoice and take joy in than the parties and the customs of the season. Let us honor our Savior, and celebrate His salvation, and His goodness in rescuing us from the second death (Re2:11;20:6,14;21:8), and from our sinfulness. Let us rejoice in Jesus, in His coming to earth to live as we do, and then dying in our place a shameful, cruel, and brutal death, that rightfully belongs to us.

Joy and Rejoicing

Oh, what joy is ours as we contemplate and recognize the magnitude of what our Savior has done!

We rejoice in You Lord Jesus, in Your goodness, in Your gift of salvation. This is our proclamation, this is our joy, You Lord Jesus; in You Jesus, in what You have accomplished for us, and what You accomplish in us.

Oh praise You Lord Jesus Christ, praise Your precious holy name! To the ends of the earth, we declare Your holy name, and the goodness You bring to us, to our lives, and for our future.

We praise You Lord God Almighty for the precious gift of Your Son; for allowing Him to come to us, to save us, to redeem us from our sins, to give us hope, help, and a future. Thank You Holy Lord, thank You.

Good Tidings

ʺBehold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. And the angel said … do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which is for all people. For there is born to you this day a Savior, who is Christ the Lord … a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill to men!ʺ Luke2:9-14.

Rejoice In Jesus

This is what we celebrate, this is why we rejoice and take joy, the Savior, born as a baby into the depth of poverty and degradation, who rose above it, gained us the victory over sin and the second death (Re2:11;20:6,14;21:8), and an eternal home wherein is everlasting righteousness. Praise the Lord God Almighty. Bless Him; praise Him, now and forever.
